The DMG Process
Once you have determined that you want to upgrade or install granite, marble, or stone, the hardest part of the process is out of the way.
The next step is to determine the size of the job. There are three ways to do this:
1. You can bring your measurements and drawing to us to determine your requirements.
2. We can come to your location and take the necessary measurements.
3. We can take the measurements from a set of blueprints supplied by you or your contractor.
Once you approve the proposal, the fun part begins!
Personal selection of the granite, marble, or stone slab that will be used to bring your creation to life is always the most exciting part of the process. You are welcome to visit our showroom to view our large selection of premium stone samples and slab inventory.
We offer a range of choices including standard grade Granites and Marbles as well as rare and exotic stones that arrive from quarries around the world.
Once you have made your selection and we receive your deposit, your slab is scheduled for delivery. We then schedule to template your job.
Templating is the process of coming out to your home or business and professionally laying and gluing together thin wood or plastic stencils to duplicate the way your countertop or vanity will be fabricated by our expert craftsmen.
Once the template is complete, we schedule the fabrication of your creation. Depending on the size of the job the fabrication can take anywhere from 1 to 2 days. Your creation is then professionally sealed at our shop before delivery and installation.
We will then schedule a time to come out to your residence and do the actual install.
If you are replacing existing countertops or vanities, we can remove and dispose of the old to put in the new. If you have selected undermount sinks, they will also be installed at this time. While we do not connect the plumbing, we can recommend a plumber to connect all the pipes and faucets should you desire.
The process generally takes anywhere from 2 to 2 ½ weeks from the acceptance of our proposal to the finished installation. The final product is yours to enjoy for many years to come.
We look forward to working with you and believe that "When you want it done right" you'll come to DeSanctis Marble and Granite!
